An Exquisite French Art Deco Figural Night Light (circa 1920–1930)

This captivating Art Deco night light features a stylised, moulded glass statuette of a classic “Stargazer" or butterfly-winged lady.

The small translucent figurine is modelled as a graceful young woman with her head tilted gently downward, arms outstretched to dramatically suspend the sweeping folds of her sheer, gossamer gown. The satin-frosted finish of the glass beautifully catches the light, giving her dress a radiant quality that glows from within.

The figure rests securely on its original, period-typical, stepped wooden plinth base - a quintessential expression of the Art Deco movement - finished with subtle silver gilding that catches hints of reflection from the glowing, glass sculpture above.
