A charming miniature French Art Deco “Skyscraper” clock, created in Paris by the renowned Bayard company during the height of the Art Deco period, circa 1930s.
This delightful clock features the iconic stepped skyscraper silhouette, a design inspired by the modernist architecture of the era and so characteristic of French Art Deco. The compact metal case has a strong geometric presence, balanced by elegant proportions and clean, architectural lines.
The square dial is beautifully styled with bold Arabic numerals, elongated markers, and classic Art Deco hands, all set against a softly aged silver-toned background. A small subsidiary seconds dial at the bottom adds both visual interest and functional charm. The clock face retains a lovely period patina, enhancing its authentic vintage appeal.
Produced by Bayard, one of France’s most respected clockmakers, this piece reflects the high-quality craftsmanship and refined design for which the company is known. Despite its miniature size, it makes a strong decorative statement — perfect for a bedside table, desk, or display shelf.
